Winter Passport

Discover Winter Cheeses of The World, paired with award-winning wines at Santa Cruz Mountains Winter Passport on Saturday, January 16th from 11am to 5pm at Roudon-Smith Winery, located in the heart of the Santa Cruz Mountains. 

Winter Cheeses of The World will be paired with Roudon-Smith wines, selected and presented by the ever-popular Tabitha of You’ve Got a Friend in Cheese, will include some rich sheep’s milk blues, Italian double crèmes as well as dried winter fruit with homemade Wassail chutney-plus cheeses with toppings and cracker bread will be featured as well.  

Roudon Smith Winery will be offering our version of the traditional January White Sale with some great ‘winter white’ wine discounts along with tasting of their award-winning wines.

Admission is $15 for the general public and complimentary for Roudon-Smith Wine Club members or with the presentation of a Santa Cruz Mountains Passport - one admission per passport. Wine & Crab Cook-off

Join Roudon-Smith Winery at Michael's on Main on January 17th as we pair our award-winning wines with their extraordinary crab dishes created by chef Michael. What could possibly be better in this ocean side locale than the pairing of local wine with local crab? Patrons will be encouraged to cast ballots for their top picks and professional judges from the hospitality industry and the press will vote for their favorites. Wine Tasting for Chocolate Lovers!

Enjoy a Romantic afternoon with us here at Roudon-Smith Winery and celebrate Valentine’s Day with a “Valen-Tasting” event. We will be offering you some our award-winning wines for you to taste, all paired with a variety of chocolates treats from local chocolate makers. Don’t forget to taste our Duet, a delightfully complex blend of local Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon, which is a perfect wine for all wine lovers. This is a truly decadent "Duet" wine and chocolate event that you have to bring your loved one to!

Admission fee is $15/person, which includes wines, scrumptious chocolate sweets and souvenir glass and $5 for wine club members and their guests.

2010 Business Showcase

"Healthy any way you slice it" is the theme for this years 2010 Business Showcase hosted by the Aptos and Capitola/Soquel Chambers.  A food and wine pavilion hosting over 20 restaurants, Caterers and wineries will be on-site offering scrumptious treats for you to sample. This is a wonderful opportunity to meet the owners, taste their foods and wines and see what our Santa Cruz County has to offer you for your dining and entertainment pleasure. Winemaker Wednesday

March 10th, Wednesday
Shadowbrook Restaurant, Capitola

The unique Shadowbrook restaurant in Capitola will be offering flights of wines (sample-sized portions of each wine) served in the bar along with complimentary hors d’oeuvres and 1/2 Off Discount on all wines from Roudon-Smith Winery. The winemaker will be in-house 5 p.m.-8 p.m. to answer any of your wine questions. This event is open to the public, but dinner reservations are recommended by calling (831) 475-1511.

Irish Cheese and Wine Tasting

March 13th, Saturday

There’s a rumor afoot, based on sightings of the Little People at the winery on previous St. Patrick’s Day holidays, that Leprechauns may again be clamoring for some of the fine Irish cheeses that will be sampled at this year’s celebration by renowned cheese taster, Tabitha, from Santa Cruz County’s own You’ve Got a Friend in Cheese. So be sure to arrive early in the afternoon to get your fair share and enjoy the ambiance of the winery and the vineyard! Other spring cheeses featured that afternoon will include popular delectables from the rest of the British Isles as well as other parts of the globe, in what Tabitha calls “A Spring Fling of Cheese and Wine”.  While you are visiting don’t forget to take the opportunity to acquire a little luck by kissing the Blarney Stone...photo’s will be taken!

Admission to this event is $15 for the general public and complimentary for Roudon-Smith Wine Club members. Wine Club memberships will be available the day of the event. Wearing of “The Green” is recommended, but not required to participate in this spirited event.

Pathway to Pinot Paradise

Take a self-guided tour through the Santa Cruz Mountains to taste an array of Santa Cruz Mountains Pinot Noir.  At Roudon-Smith Winery we will be offering a very special tasting of library, current and future Pinots.   Tickets for this day’s event can be purchased ahead of time at any participating winery for $25/person or via the SCMWA at (831)685-8463 or www.scmwa.com There will be a $5 tasting fee at Roudon-Smith Winery for non-ticket holders to taste the Pinot Noirs...complimentary for Roudon-Smith Wine Club members.

Pinot Paradise Grand Cruz Tasting

Join 35 local wineries in the lovely Villa Ragusa as vintners pour their best Santa Cruz Mountain Pinot Noir’s. This is an ideal opportunity to taste how wonderful and different each Pinot Noir is based on differences of our mountains sub-regions, clones as well as wine-making techniques.

Suzy Brown of Brown Bag Catering will be tantalizing our taste buds with wonderful BBQ snacks and other springtime foods to pair with Roudon-Smith wines.

Wine Railway & Auction

Vintner's Festival-A Taste of the Mountains

Los Altos Village Association Art and Wine Festival

Join Roudon-Smith Winery for their sixth annual Harvest’s End Festival, celebrating the end of the 2010 wine grape harvest. The winery will be pouring its award-winning wines in the vineyard, rain or shine, with the Michael Gaither Band performing their popular variety of acoustic music. The Roudon-Smith Harvest’s End Festival will provide an afternoon for all to enjoy.
