2008 CHARDONNAY, Santa Cruz Mountains Private Reserve

Our Santa Cruz Mountains Chardonnay showcases the varietal's fruit from our wine growing region in its full splendor. With pineapple, citrus and grapefruit on the nose, and the character of the fruit displayed up front, this carefully crafted wine then shows a slight herbal accent in the mid-palate with a light touch of oak. Aged for 9 months in French oak barrels; 25% new, only 120 cases produced. SOLD OUT...new release expected in early March

2007 CABERNET SAUVIGNON, Paso Robles

This wine is a very nice follow up to our 2006. Aged for three years in American oak barrels, it is really well balanced between rich plum fruit, chocolate, herbs and oak. The winemaker’s comment is “I particularly enjoy this vintage and think it is the best Cab we have made yet!”

2007 CABERNET FRANC, Monterey

This wine displays very nice aromas of mint, eucalyptus, and cherries on the nose. As you taste you will experience the flavor of sour cherries and coffee with a bit of tannin down the center of your tongue...this leads into a lovely long finish.

2007 DUET, Central Valley Private Reserve

This wine was meticulously crafted using selected individual barrels that exhibited the highest quality and attribute, which were then blended to create a nice balance of oak, fruit, tannins and acid. Showing wild berries and black cherries up front, this wine has good tannins carrying through, with mocha chocolate and oak tannins lingering into a well-balanced and clean finish. This wine will cellar nicely for the next 5-8 years. Only 117 cases produced

2007 SYRAH, Paso Robles

The wine is done in a Rhone style and shows layers of fruit with an herbaceous finish. The wine has little oak influence, again very similar to what you would find from the Rhone, since most was aged in neutral American oak. It is a delightful bottle of wine to be enjoyed over the next year or two.

2008 MERLOT, Santa Cruz Mountains

The Merlot is a blend of two vineyards from the Santa Cruz Mountains AVA. The rich color came from concentrating the juice to skin ratio by draining some free run juice into barrel before fermentation. The French term for this bleeding off of free run is saignee. It is a great tool to concentrate flavors of the main lot and can also be used to make a very good Rose as we saw last year! This Merlot is bold and easily stands on it's own two feet.

2008 ZINFANDEL, Santa Cruz Mountains

The Zinfandel is rich with color and a good example of what a Zin from the Santa Cruz Mountains can taste like. We added a small addition of Petite Syrah that helped give the wine it's dark color and some complexity to back up the fruit.

2008 RSW Cuvee

Fragrances of bing cherries, cranberries, and bell pepper lead to flavors of sweet tarts mixed with cherries and cranberries. This red has a nice oaky finish with good structure.

2008 PINOT NOIR, Santa Cruz Mountains Private Reserve

Our Santa Cruz Mountain Pinot Noir elegantly displays many of the characteristics found in our grape growing region. This is a worthy successor to our 2007 Gold Medal winning Pinot Noir...enjoy the bouquet of cherries, cinnamon and spice with elegant fruit up front and a hint of toasted oak. This well-balanced and food-friendly wine complements a wide variety of menus.

2011 Santa Clara County Rose

This wine is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, and Merlot and reminds me of the delicious clairets you find in Bordeaux. On the nose you will find rich fruit and bright cherry aromas. This leads to a soft yet full fruity body on your palate with a long tangy finish. Serve it slightly chilled to really enjoy the fruit in this wine!
